As the founder of Solutionist Studios, she partners with foundations, nonprofits, and networks to reimagine strategy, governance, and storytelling through a systems-change lens — and always with a dash of humour and humanity.

Over the past decade, Kat has mobilized over $7 million for climate and equity initiatives, managed national-scale projects across philanthropy and sustainability, and guided organizations through everything from strategic planning and governance revitalization to crisis management and complex stakeholder facilitation. Her work has included designing youth climate funding models, rethinking board culture for national organizations, and leading storytelling initiatives that translate big-picture systems change into narratives people can actually connect with.

Before launching her consulting practice, Kat served as Executive Director of Finance Engage Sustain (FES), where she built one of Canada’s first youth-for-youth climate funding collaboratives, stewarding over $2.7 million to 170 grassroots projects. She’s since advised a wide network of foundations, advisory boards, and environmental organizations — from the Lawson Foundation to Boann Social Impact — on everything from strategic foresight to philanthropic innovation.
